Credit Utilization Calculator

Divide the balance by the credit limit and multiply by 100. For several cards, add their balances and divide by their combined limits. This tool shows both the individual and combined figures.

Card 1

Your result will appear here.

Formula: total balances ÷ total limits × 100. Target balance = total limits × target percentage. A target is a scenario, not a score guarantee. Figures are not saved or sent to a server.

Use the right figures

For a credit-reporting check, use the balances and limits shown on the relevant credit report. Your current app balance can differ. You can also use hypothetical inputs to understand the math.

What the target means

A target is your chosen calculation scenario, not a boundary that guarantees a particular score. The tool finds the balance at that percentage and the hypothetical reduction required. Paying down a balance does not guarantee a score increase.

Example

A $50 balance against a $200 limit is 25%. At a chosen 10% target, the matching balance is $20, so a $30 reduction would reach 10% in this isolated example. Interest, fees and new transactions are not included.
